Prosper Learning Trust is seeking to appoint a premises/facilities officer with relevant experience (in a school or similar environment) to join our busy, friendly team from January 2025. This post offers a unique opportunity for an ambitious applicant to join an established multi-academy trust to provide high quality estates support to our academies. This post will allow the right applicant the opportunity to utilise their skills and experience to support and develop our academies, and also to contribute to the work of our growing central services team.
The successful applicant will be expected to work closely with the Trust Premises Management Officer and to spend time in each academy with site staff, however will be based with the Central Services Team. The post holder will be expected to be able to manage their own workload and respond to the many interruptions of a busy team. The successful applicant needs to be committed, flexible and motivated in their work. Training and support will be provided to the successful applicant.

Experience of working in a school/academy setting is highly desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will:
· Be expected to demonstrate flexibility and be available to work additional hours to accommodate occasional evening and special events e.g. CPD sessions, meetings
· Have estate and property management experience, including all aspects of engaging and managing contractors
· Have understanding of key legislation in relation to premises and facilities management, including the importance of relevant Health and Safety legislation
· Have proven skills at using and managing systems
· Have the ability to manage their time effectively, use initiative and be professional with a flexible attitude.

Prosper Learning Trust was established in January 2018 with Newcastle Bridges School and Mary Astell Academy. Thomas Bewick School joined the Trust in April 2019, Harry Watts Academy in September 2020 and Gilbert Ward Academy opened in September 2023. We are striving to build further collaboration across the academies and grow as a multi-academy trust, whilst continuing to strengthen our relationships with schools outside the MAT for the benefit of our pupils.
